INNOVA LIFESCIENCES REPORTS RECORD Q3 SALES DESPITE F/X CHALLENGE

Toronto, Ontario November 13 2003– Innova LifeSciences Corporation (TSX:IVO), a well-established leader in the global dental implant industry, today reported record sales for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2003, as the Company continued to derive significant competitive advantages from its well-established leadership position in the global dental device industry.

?Innova achieved record sales ? and YTD near record operating profitability ? in the third quarter of 2003 and first nine months of the year despite the precipitous decline in the value of the U.S. dollar, the currency in which Innova transacts 85% of sales,? said Michael Kehoe, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. ?This foreign currency challenge masked our growth, but can?t mask the fact that on a unit basis, we generated a 27% increase in sales of our branded Endopore and Entegra dental implant systems during the third quarter ? which is typically the slowest due to summer vacations for dental professionals. This record performance brings our three-year compound annual growth rate for implant sales to 34%. This, combined with the fact that we continue to operate on a profitable basis, provides further evidence that our strategies and our technologies are working exactly as expected both this year and over the longer term.?

Third Quarter Financial Highlights

Sales increased 3.5% to $4.6 million from $4.4 million in the third quarter a year ago. Sales would have increased 14.9% over last year if they were calculated on a foreign exchange neutral basis.
?   
As a result of growth in higher margin implant sales, the Company achieved gross profit margin of 63.7% in the third quarter of 2003. Gross margin a year ago of 65.8% was assisted by a more favourable U.S.-Canadian dollar exchange rate.

EBITDA per share was 1 cent in the third quarter of both years. This most recent performance marked the [15th consecutive quarter of operating profitability for Innova.
?   
Net income was $0.2 million (0 cents per share basic) versus $0.4 million (1 cent per share basic [and diluted) a year ago. Since the fourth quarter of 2002, the Company?s net income has been negatively impacted by the GAAP requirement to record income taxes which would be payable if the Company did not have the benefit of income tax losses from prior years. The Company does not have a current income tax liability and the expense amount is being drawn from the accumulated value of tax losses which were required to be recorded on the balance sheet at December 31, 2002

At September 30, 2003 Innova?s debt to equity ratio was a very healthy 0.06:1, a solid improvement from 0.11:1 at third quarter end 2002.

Nine Month Highlights

Sales increased 6.3% to $15.3 million, or 13.0% on an f/x neutral basis, driven by a 9.1% increase (15.6% f/x neutral basis) in implant sales.

Gross profit margin was 64.6% compared to a record 65.9% a year ago when the U.S. dollar was trading higher relative to the Canadian dollar.

EBITDA per share basic was $0.04 compared to $0.05 per share basic as a result of the currency exchange impact.
?   
Net income was $0.9 million (0.02 per share basic) versus $1.6 million (0.04 per share basic, xxx diluted) reflecting the same factors as previously mentioned.

Update: Normal Course Issuer Bid

During the third quarter, the Company utilized its normal course issuer bid, granted under the rules of the Toronto Stock Exchange, to repurchase 128,000 of its common shares at an average cost of $0.95 per share. Since the bid was approved April 1, 2003, the Company has acquired 188,600 shares at an average cost of $0.97. The normal course issuer bid expires March 31, 2004 and entitles the Company to purchase a total of 2,062,433 shares.

Looking Forward

Mr. Kehoe said the Company has a very active agenda for the next few quarters, ?highlighted by a number of new and advanced product introductions and product improvements. We?re also working to maximize the value of our already substantial technology portfolio and global distribution channels, which have enabled Innova to become a more international company than ever, with approximately 60% of our implant revenue now generated outside North America. As always, we intend to apply our operating strategies in a cost-effective manner, as we have to date in 2003 when our expense to sales ratio has been held near 2002 levels.?

?Innova continues to attract important third-party endorsements from healthcare professionals and this, along with ongoing product enhancements, is driving solid market share gains,? said Mr. Kehoe. ?We expect 2003 will end as it started ? with record sales. While we?re keeping a close watch on the value of the U.S. dollar because it impacts performance, we are cautiously optimistic that a recovering U.S. economy will take care of this challenge before long. This will allow us to demonstrate the value of these sales and market share gains in a more fundamental way: new records for profitability.?
