European Commission Announces Marketing Authorisation For 50mg Once Weekly Enbrel(R) For Patients With Moderate-To-Severe Psoriasis
The European Commission announced a new 50mg Enbrel® (etanercept) once weekly dosage regimen as an alternative to the currently approved 25mg Enbrel® twice weekly regimen for the treatment of patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Based on the outcome of the extensive European 318 study in adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, the European Commission issued the marketing authorisation for the European Union for a once weekly 50mg Enbrel® dosing.

Ultraviolet Light Therapy Is As favourable For Darker Skin As Lighter Skin
An analysis of more than 100 patients has confirmed for the first duration that darker-skinned patients benefit as those with lighter skin when given light therapy for morphea and related diseases, UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers show. Phototherapy is the use of ultraviolet light to treat skin disorders, ranging from common problems such as acne and psoriasis to rarer conditions such as scleroderma and morphea, a hardening of the skin.

Women Who Use Fake Tan Are Twice As Likely To Stay Safe In The Sun - 36% Of British Teens Class Themselves As Sun Worshippers
They may look like they would do anything for a perma-tan, but new research from iVillage.co.uk has found that women who use fake tan are twice as likely to use sun protection than those who don’t. Despite their desire for a sun-kissed look, 44% of women who wear fake tan say they always use sunscreen, whereas just 21% of women who prefer pale actually protect their skin from the sun.
